Join your GCPLD libraries and enjoy a unique concert experience featuring Sean Gaskell and the African Kora harp. Sean Gaskell features songs on the kora- a 21 stringed West African harp. He studied under the extensiveinstruction of Moriba Kuyateh and the late Malamini Jobarteh in Gambia, and also Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Senegal. The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Gaskell has presented adult, youth and family programs at over 400 libraries and a multitude of k-12 schools, colleges, universities and assisted living facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

It’s in our nature to be highly attuned to true crime content, and we instinctively want to discover the ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘when’ and ‘where’ so we can find out what makes criminals tick, and to better protect ourselves and our kin. But what happens when a horrid or confusing crime has happened but there is no conclusion. No one is arrested, there are no answers, and seemingly no justice. Imagine being part of a community where your curiosity isn't just encouraged – it's celebrated. At Silt's Unsolved Sleuths we're not just spectators; we're investigators, puzzle solvers, and justice seekers. Whether you're into documentaries, podcasts, or just love a good mystery, our club is the place to be. Once a month, we will meet and try to crack open a cold case that have stumped the experts. From chilling disappearances to mind-bending unsolved heists, we tackle them all. Together we can discuss the events, look at the evidence, and come up with our own theory.
Join Ginny Harrington from Holy Cross Cattlemen’s Association as she discusses Colorado’s wolf reintroduction and what it means for our area from the perspective of our ranching industry. The conversation will be tied together with how ranchers are involved in conservation through agriculture.
