Dying on Your Own Terms

The right to choose when and how you will die when facing the end of your life is not automatic or guaranteed. Too often, people lose their freedom of choice due to disabling medical conditions and/or their medical provers’ restrictive policies. Modern medical science can prolong the dying process far beyond the time you may wish. To make and defend your choices, you need to be informed and prepared. Garfield County Libraries, Alpine Legal Services, and Senior Matters invite you to a panel discussion where you can learn about your options and how to access resources and services designed to help you die on your own terms. There will be ample opportunity for comments, questions, and answers.

You can choose to participate online or in person on Thursday, October 27 depending on what best fits your schedule. The first session will be held at 12 pm at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library and will be simultaneously online via Zoom. To participate online click here. The second session will be held at 5:30 pm at the Rifle Branch Library and will be in-person only.
