Where the Dead Sit Talking

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, your Garfield County Libraries host a virtual conversation with author Brandon Hobson.

Brandon Hobson is the author of Where the Dead Sit Talking, which was shortlisted for the 2018 National Book Award. Set in rural Oklahoma during the late 1980s, Where the Dead Sit Talking is a startling, authentically voiced and lyrically written Native American coming-of-age story. His next novel, The Removed, is about a fractured family reckoning with the tragic death of their son long ago, and steeped in Cherokee myths and history.
