Health and Safety Information:

As of spring 2021, the central air systems of all Garfield County Libraries have been modernized with the latest indoor air quality technology. The newly installed REME HALO units have been tested and proven to eliminate over 99% of odors, air pollutants, mold, bacteria, and viruses including our new enemy, the COVID-19 virus. The system destroys air impurities by sending out ionized hydroperoxides both in the air ducts and throughout every cubic foot of air in the building. These ionizers are friendly oxidizers, meaning that they revert back to oxygen and hydrogen after neutralizing pollutants. The air ionization system is another layer of protection we provide our library visitors. However, this does not totally eliminate the risk of the spread of COVID-19 from immediate person-to-person contact.

We will have sanitation stations in place, and we strongly encourage attendees age 12 and over to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Please note that we may cap the number of attendees, hold shorter-than-normal events, and/or conduct the storytimes outside.
