Join us every Monday at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library for a Mommy Meet-Up. Designed for moms and babies ages 0-3. There will be play items provided for the little ones, and coffee and conversation for the moms. Meet new friends, make lasting connections, and just get out of the house! 

Stories, songs, and silliness for our youngest library patrons and their caregivers. This storytime is perfect for children ages 0-2.

Books, snacks, songs, and crafts at the library! Join us for a traditional library storytime for children ages 3-6 and their caretakers.

Enjoy drop-in games of American Mah Jongg at the library where adult players of all levels are welcome.

Padres y/o Cuidadores de Niños(as) e hijos de 0-5 años de edad, acompáñenos para disfrutar de cuentos y actividades en español. Los participantes pueden formar parte del programa “Bolsitas Rojas” de Raising A Reader, y llevar prestada una bolsa con libros cada semana.

All are welcome to join Burt Oglesby to practice Tai Chi on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm and Saturdays at 9:30 am. The first Saturday of the month is designated for those who are new to Tai Chi.

Enjoy a relaxing yoga practice to help reduce stress and promote physical and mental well-being. These practices include simple breathing and meditation techniques that you can learn for daily use. No experience is required; just a desire to learn and take care of yourself.
You can take classes from the comfort of your home or from our library in Glenwood Springs.

Toddlers and Preschoolers: Bring your grown-up to the library! We’ll burn some energy with active play and work on large motor skills!

Join us for a sensory storytime designed for preschool and school aged neurodivergent and sensory seeking children and their caretakers. Your child can enjoy a sensory play experience while listening to a story - with no need to sit still, make eye contact, or control fidgeting. We’ll have clear transitions, a visual schedule, interactive stories, and time to play!

Local writers are invited to the library for a place to learn, write, and grow. Workshops will be a mix of designated writing time and a forum for discussion. Free and open to adults and teens.

Join Christi Couch as she presents her explorations and discoveries of our area's history with a side of trivia. Christi has been exploring Colorado's historic places since she was a child which has become her passion. She started a hiking group, Finding Colorado,  where she seeks out history-related adventures for fellow history buffs looking for our state's historical gems. Christi has volunteered for the Glenwood Springs Historical Society, is a board member of the Carbondale Historical Society and works part-time for the Aspen Historical Society.

GCPLD Celebrates National Poetry Month and invites writers of all ages to submit up to 3 poems for a Haiku Contest and Poetry Journal

Haiku is a Japanese poem of 17 syllables, in three lines of 5, 7, and 5, traditionally evoking images of the natural world Contest submissions must be original work in standard haiku form, and received by April 16th.  Winning haiku poems will earn a gift certificate for an ice cream cone!

Haiku es un poema japonés de 17 sílabas, en tres líneas de 5, 7 y 5, que tradicionalmente evoca imágenes del mundo natural. Las presentaciones al concurso deben ser trabajos originales en formato haiku estándar y recibirse antes del 16 de abril. ¡Los poemas de haiku ganadores obtendrán un certificado de regalo para un cono de nieve!

On a daily basis, Hilary Zaranek and her husband Andrew Anderson use creative ranch management which allows them to coexist with a high density of grizzly bears, wolves, mountain lions, elk, sage grouse, and more native species in southwest Montana, just outside of Yellowstone National Park. Here they graze upwards of 3,000 cows annually while maintaining an economically sustainable business and ecologically thriving landscape.
