Local artist James Cranfill is a Carolina native who first came to Colorado in 2007, and like most, he fell in love with the people and the landscape. During a time of economic downturns, James made bad decisions and landed in the State prison system. It was during this time of repentance and contemplation that James began his journey of rehabilitation and found purpose through his art. This exhibit showcases his evolution in mediums and styles. James’ artwork will be on display from July through October at the Rifle Branch Library. Additionally, you are invited to join us at the library for an artist reception 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15. It’s free and open to all. For more information call the library at 970-625-3471.
